DetailsOkimasa Tsukamoto(塚本起正), whose real name was Shinpachi Tsukamoto, was born in 1912 in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. He is said to be a descendant of Echigo Yamamura Masanobu. In 1933, he became a disciple of Shigetsugu Kasama Ichisai, and later became his son-in-law. Like his master and father-in-law, Shigetsugu Kasama Ikkansai, he goes by the name Ikkanai. Army commissioned swordsmith (1948). Even after the war, he won the Special Prize at the New Japanese Sword Exhibition and the Minister of Education Award, and was expected to continue his success, but he passed away early in 1960. He was such a master craftsman that he ranked as the East Yokozuna in the ranking of modern swordsmiths before the war, and his style was similar to that of Kiyomaro Minamoto(源清麿), and he was said to be second to none among modern swordsmiths at the time.
塚本起正は本名塚本新八、大正4年に福島県郡山市に生まれる。越後山村正信末裔と言う。昭和8年（1933年）笠間一貫斎繁継に入門、後に娘婿となる。師匠であり義父である笠間一貫斎繁継と同じく一貫斎と号す。陸軍受命刀工（昭和18年）。戦後も新作日本刀展特賞、文部大臣賞などを受賞し、一層の活躍を期待されましたが、1960年（昭和35年）に早逝。戦前の現代刀匠番付では東の横綱に君臨するほどの名工で、その作風は「源清磨」のような出来を示し、当時現代刀刀匠の中で右に出る者がいないと言われていた。
