Keijo鎬造、庵棟、身幅広く、反り深く輪反りとなり、中鋒。
Kitae板目に杢肌・大板目・地斑調の肌合など交じり、地沸つき、地斑映り立つ。
Hamon広直刃調に浅くのたれ、小丁子・小互の目・小乱れ風の刃など交じり、足・葉入り、小沸つき、細かに砂流し・金筋かかり、匂口冴える。
Boushi直ぐごころにうるみ、先小丸に僅かに返る。
Hori表裏棒樋を掻き流す。
Nakago大磨上、鑢目勝手下がり、目釘孔三。

DetailsThe Shoushu Suegyo is said to be from the Ayanokoji Sadari school, around the Eijin period of the Kamakura period, and there are few famous works, making it valuable. This work is known as a Kyoto product because of its reversed curve and irregularities, and the blade itself is elegant and well-made. It comes with a gold habaki with the family crest of the Kuyomon crest, and is said to have been formerly owned by the Hosokawa family of Higo Province.
城州末行は綾小路定利門・鎌倉時代永仁頃と伝え、有名作は少なく貴重である。本作は輪反り風の反りや乱れが逆がかっているところが京物と鑑することができ、地刃も古雅を呈して出来がよい。金無垢の九曜紋家紋入りハバキが附帯しており、肥後国細川家の旧蔵と伝える。
