Details | The first-generation Sukehiro was a student of the first-generation Kawachi-no-Kami Kunisuke and was originally from Harima Province. He is commonly known as "Soboro Sukehiro," a nickname derived from the fact that some of his signature inscriptions include the word "Soboro." Dated works by him are extremely rare, with most of his blades bearing only his signature. This particular piece features a chōji-midare (clove-shaped temper pattern), showcasing his full skill and standing as an exceptional example of his craftsmanship. |
