DetailsBicchu（備中国） has long been known as an iron-producing region, and has naturally produced many master craftsmen, the main one being Aoe Blacksmith（青江鍛治）. Aoe blacksmithing began at the end of the Heian period, but the period from the end of the Kamakura period to the Nanbokucho period is called Aoe, and is subdivided into Old Aoe. Although this sword is polished, it has a slightly slender body, and the shape of the middle sword shows the appearance of the late Kamakura period. The blade pattern with ``'' on it is a characteristic of the same school, and in addition, the sharply deviated chisel is also a major feature of Bicchumono. According to the inscription, Moritsugu names five craftsmen, from Ko-Aoe（古青江） to the early Muromachi Oei era（室町初期応永）, but the actual sword was made in ``Yoshitsugu-mon, Syokei-koro'' (吉次門　正慶頃). ” seems to apply.
