Details | Nagasone Okimasa(長曽袮興正), as it is commonly believed, studied under Nagasone Kotetsu(長曽袮虎徹)and later became his adopted son, becoming the second generation successor to Kotetsu (長曽袮虎徹). The earliest existing one dates back to 13th year of Kanbun(寛文), and the last one is 3rd year of Genroku(元禄). His skill is excellent, and he left behind a sword that could be mistaken for the first Kotetsu. It is likely that he made many substitute works for Kotetsu. This sword has mutual eyes and small mutual eyes on the small base, giving it a rosary blade style with the eyes interspersed here and there, and can be seen as the first Kotetsu. This is a masterpiece that shows the full effort of Nagasone Okimasa(長曽袮興正) in his work. |
