DetailsSuishinshi Masahide was born in Hanekawa Akayu, Dewa Province (Yamagata Prefecture) in the 3rd year of the Kan'en era, studied under Yoshihide Shitahara, was named Takuhide, and later became a vassal of the Akimoto family of the Tatebayashi domain in the 3rd year of the Yasuei clan. He changed his name to Gihachiro Kawabe Masahide and took the name Suishinko. The production of swords lasted approximately 50 years, from the end of the Yasue era to the middle of the Bunsei period, and during the early Tenmei, Kansei, and Kyōwa periods, the Osaka new sword was idealized, and the Sukehiro-style Toranran-mei style or the Shinkai-style straight blade style was used. There are rare cases where the blade pattern is burnt and there are pieces in the style of Ikkanko. This work is said to be a legend of Yamato, with the straight blade being burnt, the blade becoming uneven in some places, small boiling, and the opening being bright and sharp. It is listed in the Showa sword specialty book written by Kosuke Murakami, and is given the name ``Kainuma Masahide''.
